Arrow Doodle — Account & Data Deletion
This page explains how to have your Arrow Doodle account and the data attached to it deleted, exactly what gets deleted, and what is kept.
How to request deletion
There is no delete button inside the app. Deletion is handled by a person, on request, by email.
Put "Arrow Doodle account deletion request" in the subject line, and include whichever of these you have:
- The email address you signed in with, if you linked a Google account. This is the fastest way for us to find you.
- Your in-game username or display name, exactly as it appears in the app's profile screen.
- Your account identifier, if you know it.
What happens, and when
- We reply to confirm we have found your account, and ask you to confirm you want it deleted.
- An operator runs the deletion. It happens inside a single database transaction: either everything listed below is removed, or nothing is and we try again.
- We then remove your profile record and any batch of yours still waiting to be processed from our Firebase project.
- We email you to confirm it is done.
We aim to complete this within 30 days of your request.
If you signed in with Google and later linked or switched accounts, all of the identifiers we know to belong to you are deleted together. We follow the chain of linked identifiers in both directions, so an older anonymous account that became your signed-in one is deleted with it.
What is deleted
Everything below is permanently removed. It is a hard delete: rows are destroyed, not flagged or blanked out, and there is no way for us to restore them afterwards.
| Deleted | What it is |
|---|---|
| ✓ Your account record | Your identifier, display name, username, email address, profile picture URL, avatar, language, country, device model and manufacturer, Android version, app version, push token, and account creation date. |
| ✓ Your profile history | Every earlier version of your name, avatar, country, language, device and app version that we had recorded. |
| ✓ Links between your identifiers | The records connecting your anonymous account to your signed-in one. |
| ✓ Every raw gameplay record | All of the individual event records described in the privacy policy. |
| ✓ Your sessions | Session lengths, foreground time, per-screen time. |
| ✓ Your level attempts | Every level you started or finished, with its times, stars, hints, misses and outcome. |
| ✓ Your ad history | Every rewarded ad offered to you, every stage of each one, every ad we blocked, and every enforced break. |
| ✓ Your in-game economy | Every coin and heart movement. |
| ✓ Your settings changes and daily-challenge history | Including your streaks. |
| ✓ Problems reported by your device | Error and diagnostic records filed against your account. |
| ✓ Your uploaded batches | The batch bookkeeping, the ingest log, and any batch of yours held aside because it could not be processed — including its raw compressed bytes. |
| ✓ Your per-player daily totals | The per-player daily summary rows. |
| ✓ Notifications sent to you and upload requests made to your device | The push and collect-request logs for your account. |
| ✓ Your Firebase profile document | The usrx document holding your profile, removed as a follow-up step in our Firebase project. See the note below. |
| ✓ Any batch still in Firebase | Batches of yours uploaded but not yet processed. |
What is kept, and for how long
| Kept | What it is | How long |
|---|---|---|
| × Aggregate daily counts | Totals with no individual inside them — for example "how many players finished level 40 on 3 March", "how many rewarded ads were watched in Brazil last Tuesday", "what fraction of the March install cohort came back on day 7". Your contribution to these figures was already summed with everyone else's; there is no row belonging to you left inside them to remove. | Indefinitely |
| × The record that a deletion happened | A single audit entry naming the account identifier that was deleted, who deleted it, when, and the reason given. We keep this so we can prove the deletion was carried out and prove it was authorised. It contains no gameplay data, no email address and no name. | Indefinitely |
| × Data held by Google | Whatever Google independently holds through AdMob and Firebase. We cannot delete that on your behalf. | Per Google's own policies |
| × Emails you send us | Your deletion request itself, in our mailbox, as a record that you asked and that we complied. | Up to 2 years |
If you want the audit entry or the request email removed as well, say so and we will discuss what we can do — but be aware that removing the proof a deletion was requested and carried out is generally against your interest as well as ours.
Data held by Google
Arrow Doodle uses Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Google AdMob. Deleting your Arrow Doodle account removes the data we hold. It does not affect data Google holds independently, which is governed by Google's privacy policy. To limit advertising data, reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads.
If you only want to reduce what we hold
You do not have to delete everything:
- Sign out in the app. Your Google name, email address and profile picture stop being written to your account, and push notifications aimed at it stop reaching your phone. It does not delete what we already have.
- Uninstall the app. This destroys the local database on your phone and anything not yet uploaded. It does not delete what has already reached our servers.
- Change your username to something meaningless if you put something personal in it. Note that we keep a history of previous names, so also tell us if you want the old value removed.
- Ask for a copy first. If you want to see what we hold before deleting it, ask — we will export it for you. Deletion is irreversible.
